Breathing Apparatus & Control Procedures
Duration 1 - 2 days
This course can be delivered at your premises or at a purpose designed centre with the added advantage of allowing practical exercises to be undertaken to fully appreciate the breathing apparatus in a range of demanding environments.
Note: All practical training exercises follow full and appropriate instruction given by a 'disciplined expert', the level of pre-requisite training can be agreed prior to the course being conducted.
Aims & Outcomes
- Introduction and breakdown of the BA set.
- Recommended Pre-use checks (High & Low pressure)
- BA Control Board and associated procedures.
- Duties of the BA Control Officer.
- Search team procedures, techniques and limitations.
- Casualty and equipment handling techniques.
- Practical exercises (client specific)
- Assessment examination (client specific)
H2S(Hydrogen Sulphide) Awareness
Duration 1/2 day
Aims & Outcomes
To provide a level of competence to personnel who visit, work or carry out special (emergency) duties in an area where H2S is a potential or recognised hazard.
This course does include EBS (Emergency Breathing Systems) and full duration breathing apparatus practical training.
