Confined Space Awareness

Information readily available from the HSE web sites identifies an average of 15 deaths per year from 'Confined Spaces'. Outside of those recorded deaths there exists a huge concern as too the lack of appropriate knowledge and competence of personnel required to work in or adjacent to dangerous areas, an exact figure cannot be set acounting for the number of 'near misses' that may also occur each year, however, personal experience of this subject does indicate a high number of potential incidents go unreported.
